Dealing with anger lets you take true control. Anger management means it is no longer controlling you so you can choose other emotions that are ultimately more satisfying.
◦ Does anger sometimes arise that’s greater than required for the situation? Do you snap at people over small things? Does traffic turn to road rage?
◦ Are there events from the past that are over, but you are still suffering the effect of the emotions? You don’t have to feel emotionally burnt or drained.
Your emotions may have been understandable at the time. Anger can energize you to fight for justice. It comes and goes for a reason. But once that reason is over it’s unjust to your own self to hold on to it.
When you let go of anger, you also release pain and convert it into more noble emotions of your choosing.
Anger Management Puts You Back In Control
Anger can energize you to protect yourself and others. It can be useful when it arises at an appropriate level for a particular event.
However, when anger is not released it can build internally, subconsciously. Then a situation that could understandably trigger a small amount of appropriate anger instead creates an emotional response that you later recognise was far greater than it should have been.
For a moment you lost conscious control of your actions and became a victim of your own stored anger. You act out on subconscious influences whether you were aware of them or not. Others that you love suffer as a consequence, and so do you.
You can gain insights into the cause of excessive anger and the way you can momentarily lose conscious control. This awareness, coupled with powerful techniques that also work on a subconscious level, allows you to break the cycle and regain control of you actions and emotions.
By taking responsibility for anger, you gain the ability to respond and choose better reactions and much more enjoyable emotions for yourself and those around you.
You’ll understand anger and learn techniques to deal with anger as it happens and create a life where you’re free of excess anger, so that it doesn’t become emotionally or physically damaging.
